Why Balanced Audio Matters for DJ Setups
In a balanced XLR cable, the audio signal is sent twice — once normal (positive) and once inverted (negative). Any electrical noise that enters the cable gets picked up equally on both conductors. At the receiving end, the negative signal is flipped back and added to the positive signal. The result: the noise cancels out (called Common Mode Rejection) while the audio signal doubles in strength.
