Active vs Passive PA Speakers
Active speakers have the amplifier built in. You just plug in the signal from your mixer and they play. They are simpler to deploy and perfect for small DJs and mobile setups. Passive speakers need an external amplifier like the PU8000 or PU7800. They are cheaper per watt, easier to repair, and scale better — every serious wedding and concert operator in Delhi runs passive for this reason.
Driver Size — What the Inches Mean
- 10-inch drivers: Good for vocals, small halls up to 60 people, near-field monitors.
- 12-inch drivers: The most popular all-rounder. Handles vocals + music for 100–250 people.
- 15-inch drivers: Industry standard for Indian weddings, sangeets and live bands. 250–600 people.
- 18-inch drivers: Dedicated subwoofers — never for vocals. Used for low-end bass in large events.
Wattage and Coverage
For weddings in Delhi NCR, a common pairing is two 15-inch tops at 600W RMS each plus two 18-inch subs at 800W RMS each. That covers roughly 500 guests with headroom. Cross-check the speaker's SPL (sound pressure level) — look for 125 dB peak or higher for outdoor use.

सही PA Speaker कैसे चुनें?
